With everything that’s going on in the world, the most important question for every traveller should be: is it safe to travel to my chosen destination?
The answer is “YES” – if that destination is Romania.
What should you expect when travelling to Romania? Pace and tranquillity.
Romania is one of the many countries in Europe, there is no reason at all to become cautious or worried about travelling to our beautiful land. We’ve pretty much put the Covid-19 situation behind us all around the world. Like most countries, Romania has lifted all Covid-19 restrictions. Travel around the country is not restricted and wearing a mask is not mandatory.
Traveling in a country where you don’t speak the language and getting sick can be scary. We want you to feel safe, comfortable and well taken care of all the time. We have doctors on call who speak English and are available to travel short distances to meet you and consult on your case, if needed.
As a member of NATO, Romania is a safe travel destination. The unfortunate situation across the border does not threaten to destabilise Romania. Traveling to Romania is as safe as traveling to any other destination in Europe.

Overall, Romania is a very safe travel destination, and there is very little to concern visitors. I would actually add and argue that the whole country, Transylvania and the other rural areas specifically, is a safe haven in these troubled times, it can offer a way to get away from the general tension and fear that all of the recent world events have generated.
So pack your bags, get your passports, and get ready to travel.
